Cinema 4D Self-Study: Alphabets Series

A personal journey in mastering Cinema 4D fundamentals while exploration 3D typography

Time: 2018

A collection of 3D typographic experiments created while learning Cinema 4D. Each letter explored different modeling techniques, textures, and animation principles as part of my self-directed education in 3D design.

It was 2018 when I first explored Cinema 4D. It started with curiosity and frustration with not-quite-right 3D assets I was using for projects. I'd known GreyscaleGorilla from sharpening my After Effects skills, so naturally, I turned to the animation guru again for some self-taught Cinema 4D resources.

Typography Challenge: Mechanical Alphabet Design.

After I learned about the basic set up and interface, it's time to set a goal and do some practice. I was inspired by a lot 3D artisits on Instagram and could not wait to give my new skillset a try. I will start with an idea and sketch, or maybe got inspired by a tutorial I watched.
